What i don't understand is this.......
the club say that they are following the Charlton model in attempting to make NCFC an established prem club. I am sure they have studied Charlton and looked into what it takes to succeed in the prem after yoiu have been relegated. One of the absolute pre-requisites to giving yourselves a better chance of staying up after yoiu have won promotion after being relegated the first time round is that you come back with a stronger squad with better players.
We have not done that. Worthy does not appear to have been given any money whatsoever by the board and has had to rely upon selling players to give himself some kind of transfer kitty.
Why the hell is this? that is what i want to know and is part of the reason i am so frustrated about our crap start. When we were relegated i was confident, as i am sure were plenty of others that Worthy would be given funds to build a strong squad for another promotion challenge, yet he seems to have been given diddly squat and this my friends is part of the reason why we are struggling and may not achieve promotion this season. Where has the money gone? WBA spent a bit when they got relegated and they were careful when they were in the prem.
Your thoughts?
