When I used to go coarse fishing, a popper lure
was one which floated, but had a "wing" at the front, so that when it was pulled through the water it would sink. The idea being that you would pull, pause, pull, pause, like that to make the lure rise and fall in the water as it came towards you. Pikes used to go mad for it.
That the same thing?
