it was pretty much high tide (i checked the tide tables beforehand). I put myself intentionally on the windy side of the point because i read that bass like it when it's all choppy and windy (more food is moved around in the water). All the other fishermen were on the other side (opposite the island). i suppose they know what they're doing, but there was no space for me on that side anyway.

is it better to fish above rocks or where the rocks give way to sand?
