virus techy help please

My laptop has some malware called Antivirus 2009 on it that is causing havoc, whenever I search on google and click on a result it takes me to random websites, and it keeps popping up saying I have loads of problems with the computer (which I don?t other than antivirus 2009 malware). I have uninstalled it numerous times but it comes back instantly. And it has blocked me from using AVG to get rid of it. Suggestions please?.. before I throw it out of the window. I cant even run a system restore as it wont let me.
