No, sorry, I can't accept that

I can see the point of view of the police - they're under pressure & the consequences of not acting are potentially terrible; but innocent until proven guilty is a basic tenent of any human rights and people who abuse it (however understandably) should be held accountable - especially armed police who are supposed to be highly trained for these situations. That said, the facts are a still sketchy at the moment & it's not clear what warnings were issued; nor why they gave chase in the first place. Nor why he ran.
