...seems to me that we're coming from similar points of view. i would never advocate a 'shoot first ask questions second policy', but you have to question the actions and motives of someone who, apparently, resists arrest and f**ks off. it's a shame it's come to this, but what can you do? i take it for granted in istanbul that i will have to go thru an airport style scanner on the the way into a shopping centre - because they've had trouble from the pkk. righr or wrong this is normal life. sadly the uk is going to have to go the same way.
