I agree that they need the chance but I'm not sure

it is the right time and place for him. There will be massive pressure on him as the fans will be expecting to finish somewhere near the playoffs. It's not as simple as just re-arranging the team. He'll have some politics amongst the squad to first learn and then sort out, then he'll have players who do or do not fit into his system - again, he has to discover that before being able to address it. He'll have a hell of a time in the transfer window to hold on to our only decent players and get rid of dead wood nobody wants, while trying to strengthen with a small budget.

In short, whoever comes around is not going to turn it around quickly. That's why I think we need someone who has had pressure and exposure before. You don't get that sort of pressure at Doncaster.
