You are assuming that the communist critique of capitalism is correct, and from that deriving that every action taken by an individual must be intertwined with his/her apparant repression and hope to escape it.

Whilst atheism is on the rise, I also think it is not accuarte to say that science is destroying religion (you are on dangerous ground pursuing this...politics and religion are my academic specialties (whilst we are in the habit of bragging))
