it just makes far more sense

given Sutton's successful career, if he was available for a reasonable and affordable amount I see no reason why we wouldn't be interested (Worthy has already noted that there isn't much available). The fact that we apparently aren't strongly suggests to me therefore that he ISN'T available at an affordable rate. It's just a matter of probabilities. I don't know but it seems after a reasonable weighing of the evidence the most likely conclusion.
