I certainly think there is a degree of that, yes

The "model" is the justification for some pretty average football based decision making at the moment.

That's not to say that we couldn't be in a dramatically worse position should we have take a simpler approach, but equally, I can't help but feel a lot of what has gone right for us in the last 3 seasons was down to the signing of Buendia and Pukki, and the way that they worked so unbelievably well together.

I'm not hugely confident that if we were to go down, this current model would necessarily mean we would be promoted again.

I think there's plenty of room for improvement on the football side of things without tearing up the model altogether.
