Pondering the whole thing a bit, I just wonder if we're an experiment that's a bit out of control. From the model of management - no CEO, coach not manager etc, through to the data science scouting, soccerbots and so on, have we focused (where we is mostly Webber) trying to prove the concept of the revolution and forgotten that football is actually quite simple.
