Baffling

And I'm a Moeen fan.

I guess if Mo is looking dangerous in the nets then it makes sense (I do think that he was horribly mismanaged in the Ashes and his subsequent loss of form and confidence has damaged the team).

But Bess, while patchy, has performed - unless Moeen comes in and fires on all cylinders we could just end up finishing this test with a still out of form senior spinner and a pissed off Bess...

So much of the first test rested on winning the toss and Root.

Which I guess might be the thought behind bringing mo in. Strengthen the batting and bring in more experience of the conditions.

I'd love to see him get back to his best again, but I just have the niggling sense that Mo is now in the bracket of Worcestershire players who have been messed around by England and then blamed for not settling... (Hick, Rhodes, Solanki, Kabir)
