What if this "new normal" is permanent?

Dont think boffins have cracked a coronavirus vaccine yet and so looking like we'll be locked into a permanent track and trace hoo har c/w in and out of local/national lockdown loop so no return back to the pre covid full stadia + away fans. not faffed personally I can cope with the mask s**t and all the other dull as f**k crud but what would it mean footy wise given that bcd footy is utter bonk? Can't be sustainable much more can it suffern will have to give and not just lower league teams going ties up, the days of messi getting 98 million quid a year are numbered.
