Because they love the game 😳.....I read a story recently about a footy game manufacturer who wanted to sign up a famous player,and while in Blackpool he popped into the nice hotel for a drink...in the corridor he bumped into bobby charlton who was on holiday...could I have five minutes please mr charlton? Yes,no problem replied bob...anyway after fifteen mins in parlay with mr charlton a deal was struck,hands shaken and goodbyes said....I wonder if,should you get within 20 yards of the player you’d like to speak to...without getting beaten by security/minders the legal team are really accommodating,and then the player himself being as courteous and pleasant,while on holiday?....bring back long shorts.
