Not just payiong for it - we're trying to ensure it doesn't happen again

It happened because we chucked all the Prem money at a short-term attempt to stay up - when that didn't happen we were f***ed because we had no backup cash.
In a similar vein, Middlesbrough kept throwing their parachute payments for two years at Pulis in a short-term attempt at getting promoted back. That didn't work so now they look in a right mess. You have to leave something back in case the best case scenario doesn't happen.
