Jim comes along and states categorically "I don;t want any loans for the rest of this season that do not have a realistic option to buy otherwise they are pointless."

which is great - there's long term planning going on there from him, but also incredibly short-sighted as it would rule the likes of a Peter Crouch being signed short-term and giving us a real boost - maybe, just maybe it's a bit more nuanced decision making from the club than Jim will ever allow for?
