I never said that, I was talking about Leitner

a player we were told hadn't played for ages and probably wouldn;t play for us straight away and a player in respect of whom we were told there was no option of sign in the summer. I said if we sort him out and he gets back on track but then we can;t afford to buy him then it seems a bit pointless.

I would not have said that the signing of an experienced, proven goalscorer on a short term basis to have a crack at the playoffs is pointless.
