How easy that is will depend on you and where you go, but I've done plenty of solo trips and never had any real bother and met some really top people too, in addition to plenty of bizarre adventures I'd never have had otherwise

Worst thing is eating alone or whatever but it also makes you a lot easier to approach for locals or other travellers, which isnt necesarily the case if you're with someone.

best thing is doing exactly what you want when you want instead of having to agree with someone else.
