I don't see how you can blame AN for missed chances and individual defensive errors

If the defensive problem is tactical and the setup then fair enough (and clearly sometimes it has been) - however if it is defenders making cockups or losing concentration (which has more often been the case in my book) then that's on them. Once they are over that line there's not much the manager can do - this isn't FIFA2016 and he doesn't have a controller.
