One thing that doesn't really fit the doom and gloom 'little old Norwich' narrative is that Phelan is a bloody good appointment for any team in the country - and we've got him. Lunatics don't really get to appoint gold standard coaches as a rule.

That's not to say that Adams in situ is necessarily correct but it's hard to see how anyone can look at the appointment of Phelan in anything other than a positive light.
