based on one good performance and a good result.
The last thirteen months (since the end of the ten game unbeaten run) have been pretty dire I think most would agree, and yet in the space of 90 minutes yesterday, many wrathers appear to have reverted from 'outers' to 'inners', which I find completely baffling.
Hoot is a nice bloke and I don't want him to fail, cos that means my team failing, so I want him to succeed. However, I need to see a lot more than 90 minutes of good football and a great win, to convince me that he is the man to take my club forward! We need another eleven similar performances with some good results among them as well and NCFC staying up this season, if my mind is to be changed that we need a new manager in the close season.
After the dross I have endured for the last year, one swallow doesn't make a summer. Hoot's tactics and substitutions are still baffling at times and I remain to be convinced. I hope I'm wrong, I want to be wrong, but not sure I will be in the longer term.
If we stay up (and that's still a big 'IF' IMO) and don't make a change in the manager, I fear more of the same dross next season.
Puts tin hat on...............
