... and think it's a part of the problem with some of our fans. I would love us to be a side without fear of relegation, but realistically we aren't going to get much better without a sugar daddy. Do fans seriously expect us to be a top half side? Some may say "Southampton are doing it", but they've spent a lot plus who knows, they may do a Swansea next season.
Football at times has been dross, but then we've also had crap loads of injuries and too high expectations on individuals likes on Rvw (I blame the club for this - they hyped him up way too much). We are crying out for a number 10 (who we have said we've been after) and good consistent wingers (2 long term injuries + Redmond/Snod being inconsistent has been a massive blow)
You say it's been one good 90 minutes, but I think things have picked up since Hull... I look at it as:
Hull - good win
Newcastle - good point, though not great performance
Cardiff - incredibly unlucky... can't really blame Hughton for not converting 30+ shots.
Man City - excellent performance, unexpected point
West Ham - disappointing, but were unlucky not to get a point and WH are on fire at the mo'.
Spurs - excellent performance, great result.
