I think there are a number of reasons for the reaction to yesterday.
Personally I supported his appointment and I can see what he;s trying to do. I certainly want him to succeed BUT
1. Watching us is just awful. Truly terrible.
2. 2nd half of last season it wasn't just awful to watch but hopelessly ineffective
3. The spirit of the team is gone. Yesterday they gave up.
4. Players are scared. Garrido wouldn't cross yesterday.
5. We signed a lot of good players and hughton's tactics seem the same and no more effective.
6. Surely no attacking player will ever join us again while hughton is in charge? RVW is lucky to see the ball once per half.
We're clearly in for an almighty relegation struggle already. We just gifted a key rival 3 points. We couldn't beat a championship side of 10 men in 70 minutes.
The one thing hughton has done well is recruitment but whats the point in having a team of great players where the team is s**t. Lamberts players were poor but the team was far more than the sum of its parts. We now have the reverse and no sign of improvement.
My patience is up if that makes me a "bedwetter", fine sticks and stones.
