I think that's a really good post but

In the cold light of day Hughton does have a couple of mitigating factors which we could point to. Namely some of our most regular performers were absolutely diabolical.

Passing out from the back from the likes of Martin and Garrido was embarrassing. The midfield trio of Johnson, Tettey and Fer were woefully ineffective. And even our most consistant performers in the likes of Wes and Snod came off the bench and offered absolutely nothing going forward (Snod clearly not fit).

Hughton set us up wrong and was too slow to react to changes. No doubt about that. But we can't have so many of our good players play badly in one game. Regardless of who we're playing and how many men they have on the pitch
