I know that you are correct and Steve and Tricky are correct, but I am just saying I am not 100% on the rules here. I don't think I was ever very good at understanding the RULES for grammar in either English or French. I know (usually) what is correct and what isn't but the working in getting there is something I never understood. So when you talk about subjective and objective my brain hits a wall and closes down.

I know you do the "replace your name and wouldn't it sound stupid saying "me went to the match" but I am also aware there are times when you shouldn't use I but instead say me and I've never really known when that should be.

P.S What is the difference between US and WE in the example you used?
