If the two of you are basically doing something - so you're the subject of the sentence - then it's we.
"We shouted at Hughes to get on the post."
If something is basically being done to you - ie you're the object - then it's us.
"Hughes shouted back at us to get f*cked."
Same as I and me, as I said.
