agree with all of that. Only thing that's faintly surprising is the lack of cover for Holt

I would have thought Cody was more natural backup for Martin than Holt - but so is Johnson, too?

If that's right, my guess would be that Lambert really wanted Johnson as one for the future - as you say, he was on the list.

And that finances just didn't stretch to getting back-up for Holt. So we're just gambling a bit that Holt won't miss many games for the rest of this season.
