But your question at the end - "is that what you want?" - is a false one.

The board are fire-fighting, to try and save the club. No-one's being taken for granted - the board want out, no one else wants in. The questions is when the banks will want out.

As for "making the same mistakes time and time again" - well I know you enjoy writing history with hindsight. Which mistakes are they making at the moment?

(Bear in mind that if one them is "appointing Gunn", then you need to bear in mind that your reliable ally Creo was castigating them when he thought they weren't going to do that.

Whereas I thought it was the wrong decision then. But just goes to show that nothing's simple.
