Yes they may get that back, but they won't get what they could have earned on that money.

Its still also putting ?2m of their own money somewhere where they can no longer use it, at least not at short notice.

So while I agree, its not on the level of generosity that a 'gift' would be, those 2 are not ina position to 'gift' that sort of cash.
If they were being selfish though, or looking to gain from it, there are much much better things to do with that cash than loan it to the club.
A point many seem to miss.
