Er- that there's a big difference between being majority shareholder and running the club?
He said before that he wanted Delia & MWJ to carry on chairing the board, but with him as majority shareholder. (Which is hardly that unusual for a business - you wouldn't normally demand that the chairman is also the owner.)
But Delia & MWJ may well have signalled that if he wants a majority of the shares, they would want to step down and him to take over. (Indeed that seems to be the prevailing gossip - until recently that may have been the arrangment that had with the Turners?)
May not be what he wants.
