ITs true what this guy is saying though, the one point he misses is the effect a drop in atmosphere will have on TV audiences.
I hate away european games, bad camera angles and all to often no atmosphere at all from the tele (mainly due to abscence of mics etc). It lessens the game though when there is no sense of the excitement in the stadium.
Eventually, it will be the same on sky with EPL games. Part of the enjoyment of football on the tele, of seeing a cracking game is getting a sense of the atmosphere. Once that goes, football on the tele will lose its edge.
When that happens, watch the sky/setanta subscriptons dry up.
