Because huckerby was a luxury, a luxury that effectively saved worthingtons job

because we were playing dross up to that loan signing

To play at your persona, you could say the signing of huckerby took this club backwards a little because WOrthington was allowed to stay here longer than he should have done, blowing his 600k on hughes, and your bobinsons, jarrets, heckingbottons, keith thingy, keepers for 250K and 150k like crichton, virtual complete youth team shut out on playing etc

SO yeah, it was nice, but the aftershocks of worthington are still be felt today, you could say

So if I was you, I could maybe throttle that business man, cos he's at fault for worthington

Of course, that's ridiculous (although fact at the same time), but I'm only doing what you do, looking at something, and using it to make conclusions afterwards like we all knew what would happen. We didn't, first few years worthington didn't have too many bad ideas, then he just lost it, but he truely lost it when everyone was behind him

Grant lost it, and the anger from worthington was still in the air. It still is now, and it's been on a Roeder a tad as you well know (cos you're one of them), and now that anger about worthington is on him and the board

Until a few chill out and realise that we've never really been anything but a lower mid table champ team since 1995, then we might actually not expect a lot, get behind the players, have a nice atmosphere in the ground, then something nice like Hull Bristol city, or donny might happen

A bit like we had 2001-02 when we didn't believe we could make the play offs but did. A bit like 92-93 and the nice surprises that brought

If not, then the atmosphere in the ground being the same as it has been the last few seasons, will be an advantage to the away team, and that's not exactly fair on Roeder or the players
