That Yugoslavia side was MENTAL. With the racist, Arkan-loving oaf in the team, they went 3-0 down to Slovenia: Slovenia FFS! Then he got sent off - and they came all the way back to 3-3!

I'm not sure he started for them after that - but they were so destroyed by what happened to them against Spain that, ludicrously, they went down 6-1 to the Dutch in the quarters. Cue pundits waxing lyrical about the "Dutch masters", while completely ignoring that their opponents had displayed the collective will of purest blancmange.

Another underachieving nation, Yugoslavia - I've always thought they'd have won Euro 92 had they been allowed to remain in the event, but an awful lot's changed since then, of course.
