and HD DVD's are the new betamax, so you'll be wanting to go Blu-ray...

or just stick with your old DVD player for the time being

if most of your inputs are going to be SD rather then you upgrading to HD inputs make sure your new telly handles them well

the Samsung i bought is very good with SD which is good as i have no HD inputs at the mo, but when i get round to getting them it will do them very well too
