the decision is Roeder's but who decided on the timing of the announcement?
I noticed that Delia Smith decided to sit amongst her adoring fans on Sunday afternoon - what reaction would she have got had the announcement been made earlier.

Peter Grant used up his stock of goodwill with the fans with his tactless but correct comments after the Hull game. Roeder spent his today. How much support will be forthcoming from the terraces if things start to go wrong next season. Not much IMO.
