Don't forget Shaun O'Hara has just been moved on

Maybe the finances are in a worse state than we thought.

Grant won't be the only factor in that though he did have a stupidly long contract. And that came only a year after we had to pay Worthy off. We've had nearly three seasons of hopeless transfers in, agents fees and pay offs when it doesn't go well. The ground being full is all very well but a lot of that money has already been spent, I'm now about to part with nearly £400 for a season of games that won't be completed until April 2009. There isn't that much "on the day" gate money is there?

One of the reasons the Turners probably aren't putting any more dosh in yet is that they are horrified at the state of the finances and aren't going to throw good money after bad until the club is in a more shipshape fashion.

Or perhaps they came in because it was in such a state and the club needed their expertise.

Or maybe I'm just talking bollox.
