An increasing girth appears to be a common affliction for us 40-somethings

But, thankfully, I'm further from being a Tory (and further from Labour) than I was in my younger years. I do tire of the "struggle" however - maybe it's the complacency of a comfortable life; but I prefer to think it's because I'm a more contemplative being these days.
