but from what I read, the midfield outfit was a little lightweight, chadwick didn't really do that much, and i suppose this let them get forward a lot more.

The one clip i did see (it's been taken down from daily motion - the championship are obviously cracking down on these things this season) showed a poor headed clearance (shacks, i think) leading to Nicholls shot rattling the crossbar. Shacks interviews on the pinkun and waghorn's site suggest that the defence wasn't clearing the ball properly, leading to unnecessary pressure from the preston frontline.

I think Carter made a big difference in midfield too.

But like i said, i didn't see the match soi i can't really comment on this sort of thing.
