Credit where credit is due

I thought Doherty had a very good game on saturday and Drury (who I ahve also been very critical of) also played much, much better (aside from one error in the first half which could have cost us).

All in all I thought we looked defensively more solid that we have for some time. Brellier certainly helped with this. You don't tend to notice him that much but positionally he is excellent and I thought it was noticeable that as soon as he went off we lost our midfield platform.

Attack wise we did not create much which will bea concern if it continues but i think having Hucks and Cureton back will make a big difference in that regard. If we can add a real goal threat to saturday's solidness then we could be in business. Thought Strihavka also looked good when he came on but was disappointed with Croft (although he didn't have much of a platform to play from when he was on the pitch).

Preston look very average this season and their fans are clearly the thickest in the football league.
