Virgin Broadband-Good and Bad Points

Connection speed and web speed-very good, rarely, if ever, drops out, no problems there at all.

But....

The Virgin E Mail interface is a nightmare-slow, unreliable, and often unavailable. Its also virtually impossible to contact their E Mail customer services. Have the Broadband service by all means but go with someone else for E Mail (eg) Google.
