luckily not all school sports days are like that. We have 50m, 75m,long jump etc. maybe
it's just first schools. We also have excellent football teams ( league and cup double) who have hardly lost a match in the last three years. Netball team travels 20 miles to play matches as lots of local middle schools don't want to play as we're too good.
My son's sports day is tomorrow and sounds similar to yours; dribbling football, throwing bean bags, skipping etc. Hopefully it's just first schools!!
