They hated the US before 9/11 because of US support for Israel (I think. Insofar as there is any real logic behind all this.)

Don't think they necessarily had us in their sights before Iraq.

Still horrified that a bunch of normal nice intelligent lads born and bred in this country could bring themselves to do such a thing.
