No I think it IS down to Delia
she and Michael have made this a far more friendly and family club than it was when we were successful back in the day. Also remember much of the successful period was marred by Chase out demonstrations which MUST have put off many women and children (going even further back, there was a time when I wasn't even allowed to go to the city on a match day because of the impact football fans had). There is a different atmosphere now and a greater loyalty because people respect and have bought into what Delia and Michael have done. They have made this a fans club, paid for by the fans (through shares and season tickets), where fans can get in touch and have a say, where the players are accesible where you can drop a quick e-mail to the MD AND get a response.
I don't think it is anything to do with Nigel Worthington, because fans are STILL turning up, if it were down to Worthington then those people would be glory hunters and they would have stopped going by now - they haven't - because there is far more to it than winning football games.
