No, nor Delia either. I'm convinced that the increase in our following all stems from the fact that we were a top side n years ago, and that all of the little kids back then have grown into young people with disposable income and a deep-seated fondness for the club.

Following this logic, it's likely that in another ten years the crowds'll all fall off again, and our away support will go back to Dave, Kev and Ian and a couple of Club Cabbages, like it was back in the 70s and early 80s. OK maybe not quite that bad as attendances are generally up, and the game's lost it's shady, violent edge.

But it HAS gained an entirely different type of Shoddy Image - and I understand that the kids of the Fine City are all too often to be seen in Blue or Red shirts....?
