I have two MSc research students ...

... when they started 18 months ago I tried to convince them not to do their research in windows. Failed with them both of them.

18 months on neither can boot their PCs into windows. Both are dead.

My Mac is running fine (no probs) and my Linux desktop has only be rebooted about three times in three years (because of Uni power down).
