I assume he meant Chelsea players rather than London. If so then it might explain a lot: he could give a s**t in front of his big time Charlie mates and probably swaggered around with them in front of his team mates. He's envious of them, their status and their piles of money - hence the big, s**t car he drives around in. He's basically a wannabe.
