they're obsessed by off-the-field activities to the exclusion of what it is that the company is actually for.
Every aspect of the footballing side is questionable:
1. Are our scouts competent? What did they say about Etuhu for example?
2. Are the coaches competent? After 2 years here Gallagher STILL can't line up a wall. It wasn't one of Green's strong suits either. What does the goalkeeping coach actually DO?
3. Are our medical procedures good enough? How on earth did Thorne pass his medical? Why have we repeatedly played injured players, and then exacerbated their injuries?
4. The board's policy is to let the manager have total control of the football budget - without ever questioning him or advising him. Examples of the lunacy this led to abound - just one - the board apparently weren't interested when we went into the Premier League with 4 goalies and no right wingers. It didn't work. But we followed the same idiot strategy the next season anyway. Because we obviously need 4 goalies on the books because getting keeping cover in on loan is impossible, isn't it?

The board need to get off their backsides, stop worrying about healthy yet tasty pie-fillings, and pay attention to the real problems, because I really don't see how Granty can do it on his own.
