I fail to see how the board vetoing signings (which you just suggested) isn't letting non footballing people take control of footballing matters? Why shouldn't the board veto signings? Because they are there for the business side of things and not the footballing side of things. The board set the transfer fees, and the wage caps and the manager decides who to bring in accordingly. I'm convinced that's how it was and I'm convinced that's the way it should be. All Worthington ever did was spend the money that was allotted to him by the board. Granted, he spunked it all on trash but I still think we either had to back him, or sack him. The only thing they've really done wrong is having infinite patience with him when they should have been more ruthless
