I said that they should take an interest in footballing matters as do, for example, the board of Manchester United. You appear to disagree - why not say why you disagree rather than simply misrepresent my views?

And successfully managing an annual budget of tens of millions of pounds really requires skills that have very little to do with football. Several of the board are successful entrepreneurs - frankly I think they would have more idea how to manage a budget than someone whose main qualification was playing left back for Sheffield Wednesday. Again, if you feel that experience did confer on Worthington the ability to manage a huge budget why not tell us all how it did?
