look at how much wolves have wasted trying to get back into the division where they believe they 'belong', and look what happened to Forest. The 'prudence with ambition' policy is rather admirable in comparison, i'd be happy with a long term ambition of getting into the premiership as long as i can see proof of improvement year upon year (league position, quality of players, cup progress). But at the moment we're seeing neither one nor the other, it's a case of the blind leading the blind. What we need is a board with good managing nouse and an understanding of football. If worthy had been dropped before christmas last year, maybe we would have kept ashton. If Grant had been brought in over the summer, maybe we'd be contending for the playoffs. If the board hadn't wasted all the parachute payments on messrs Hughes, Robinson and Thorne, maybe we'd have some cash in the bank to find a partner for earnshaw.
